Decision CRTC 84-512 Following a Public
Hearing in Hull, Quebec on 14 February
1984, the Commission approves the

the geographic proximity of these
communities to the applicant's existing
cable system which serves Mitchell and
Seaforth, Ontario. Therefore, the
competing application by Saugeen
Telecable Ltd., Fergus -Elora Cable T.V. Ltd.
and CUC Ltd., representing a company to be
incorporated, to provide cable television
service to Blyth is denied. In addition to the
priority services required to be carried by
regulation, the Commission approves the
carriage of the following optional services:
WJBK" TV (CBS), WDIV '(NBC), WTVS (PBS)
Detroit, Mich., and KOMO-TV (ABC) Seattle,
Wash., to be received via satellite from the
CANCOM network, It also approves the
carriage of the signals of CFPL-TV London
and CHCH-TV Hamilton which are
receivable over-the=air, The -Commission
approves, as a condition Of licence, the
proposed maximum monthly subscriber fee
of `17.00 and a maximum installation fee of
'35.00 at each location.

in this decision and in the licenses to be
issued. The Commission censiders-that the
approval of the Kincardine Cable
applications represents the most suitable
means of extending service to Luckn"ow,

Toronto, CFMI-FM Vancouver, CFQM-FM

The children who are presently participating in a children's theatre
workshop at the Livery will perform Frankie's Fright at the Livery
this Saturday at 2 p.m. They are, front row, left to right, Terri Lynn
Schmidt, Melanie Woodall, Becky Harrison, Nicole de Jeu, Michael
de Jeu, Michelle Moore and Debra Drennan; and back row, left to
right, Becky Penn (witch), Mary Jo Evans, Jennifer Hunter

Livery holds a children's workshop
From July 3-14, the Livery has been -
holding its second children's theatre
workshop. The children involved have work-
ed on theatre games and skills from 1-4 p.m.
each weekday., "
This week the children have been rehears-
ing the original play; "Frankie's Fright".
This 45 minute play will be performed this
Saturday, July 14 at 2 p.m. It will feature all
17 children who are between the ages of 9
and 13.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or
at the door: children: $1 and adults $2. Itis a
production to be enjoyed by all. So conte and
be delightfully horrified.
The children's workshop is being led by
Colborne Township Council
the Livery's Experience '84.students, Kathy
MacDonald, Lisa Frayne, Kent Milburn and
Heather Ann Stapleton. These students, in
honor or Ontario's Bicentennial, are also
making a historical display of Huron County
and are writing a play on Huron County
which they will perform at the Livery at the
end of August.

Colborne Township will hold its annual memorial service on Sunday,
July 22, 1984 in conjunction with their Bicentennial Celebrations.
The service will be ' held outdoors at 2:00 pm at the Colborne

Confirmation of an order to Nelson
Bronze, New Hamburg. has been received
for a bronze plaque to be installed at the Col-
borne township Ball Park at Benmiller. The
plaque recognizes those institutions whose
contributions made the construction of the
dark possible.
A grant of $1.000 to be used to help defray
costs of the township's Bicentennial
Celebrations on July 21 and 22 has been
received from the Secretary of State of
Canada.
Council passed a resolution approving the
purchase of a stand-by immersion pump at
a cost of $1.733 from Dale Pumps, Clinton.
The pump will be kept on hand to replace the
pump in the municipal water system in the
Sager Subdivision, Saltford, in the event of a
failure.
An application for a tile drainage loan by
Philip Clark for the tile drainage of Lot 15,
Concession 7 E.D. was approved by council,
subject to provincial and municipal policy.
The meeting was then adjourned until
Tuesday. July 17 at 8 p.m.
4-H exchange
Fifteen 4-H members from Huron County
are going to be in the Red Deer, Alberta
area frdm July. 3 -14th. These delegates are
taking part in an Open House Canada
Exchange and 15 4-H members from Alberta
will he visiting Huron County from July 19 to
30th.
