Reports from Industrial Four games were played in the Industrial Fastball League this week with two of them played by the French Dry Cleaners, two by Fisher Builders, two by MeGee Pontiac, and one by Lakeport Steel and Hotel Bedford. The Cleaners 'played on Sunday evening against Fisher Builders and won by a score of 11-3. Seven of Cleaners' runs came in second inning when the entire line-up had hits. Pitching for the Cleaners team was Don McWhinney, who allowed seven hits from the Fisher Builders and pitched five strike -outs. Doug Fisher 'plfeh6or for his team. Rick Sowerby and Ken Daer shared the pitching for the McGee team and Don McWhinney pitched for the Cleaners. Lakeport Steel held the McGee Pontiacs to one run on Sunday _afternoon to beat them 4-1. Brian McKenzie pitched the four -hitter and chalked up four strike -outs. Lakeport's runs all came in the last inning from Frank MacDonald, Bruce Bowman, who hit a •homer, Brian McKenzie, and Carmen Fielder. McGee's pitcher, Ken Daer, also pitched a strong game throwing six strike -outs and five hits. Hotel Bedford and Fisher Builders played a low -scoring game last Wednesday, June 4 with Fishers emerging vic- torious by a score of 3-2. Bedford held a 2-0 lead until the fifth inning when Dennis LeBrun and Jim Bell scored for Fishers. Bell scored again in the final inning to wrap up the game for Fishers. Men's Night, low gross and low net, for June 3rd was a family affair, with low gross going to Dave Bedour and Leroy Bedour winning low net. First flight winners, Issy Bedard, Stan Con- nelly and Tony Bedard Sr. Second flight going to Bob Sproule, Gary Chambers and Gerald Morgan, while Ray Cook, Ron Stanley and Vic Powell were the winners of third flight. Thursday, June' 5th ladies' night, first flight winner was Shirley Baechler. Second flight winners, Thora McCabe, Joyce Bolton and Anne Miller. Third flight was won by Rocky Whalen and Betty Helesic, while Dorothy ' Bogie, Evy McDonagh, Pat Wilkinson and Pat Dockstader were the fourth flight winners. This Thursday, June 12th will be a Pin Round, so ladies plan to play 18 holes. After an on -again, off - again two -ball, because of bad weather, it finally cleared for the event to take place on Saturday, June 7th, and from reports from Anne, it was another successful event. The two -ball winners were: Jim Whalen and Joyce Bolton; Stan Connelly and Joan McDougall ; George Bolton and Shirley Baechler, with 'least putts' also won by George and Shirley. The game turned completely around with about 12 minutes left when Dorchester scored. From this point Dor- chester pressed hard, tempers were short and several warning cards were issued. The tying goal was scored by Brendon McDonald on an innocent looking free kick. Neither senior team had league games last week. However, the B team played an exhibition game with the under 19 team, losing by a 4-3 score, but won against the Oldtimers 2-0.
