LAMB
In loving memory of my
loving son and brother,
Robert Norman Lamb, who
left us so many years ago, •
Apri17, 1945.
When evening shades are
falling,.
And we sit in quiet alone,
To our hearts there comes a
longing,
If Noranan.only could come
home.
Friend& m.ay, think we have
forgotten,
When at times they see us
smile,
But they little know the
heartache,
Our smiles hide all the while.
"There is a bridge of
memories,
From earth to Heaven alone,
It keeps our dear one near
US,
It's the bridge that we call
love,
It takes us back to brighter
years,
To happier sunlit days,
And .to precious golden
moments,
That will be with us always.

never, be forgotten by his
loving Mom and brothers

U.C.W.
The Nile U.C.W.
meeting was held at the
church on March 20.
Theme of the meeting
was, "Stewardship and
Finance" and Mrs. H.
McWhinney was in
charge.
The meeting opened
with a reading about
"stewardship" ' meaning
by Mrs. McWhinney.
Christian Stewardship
means the way of life in
which people act out and,
what is required -of them
as Christians. It is per-
sons responding with
their whole selves to what
God has done. Stewar-
dship it demands that
people fulfill their
obligations in every area
of life.
The study and practice
of Christian Stewardship
is timely, pratical;'
biblical and uniquely
Christian. The gospel
thrusts poeple into the
realities of their present
existence and demands
that they live outa life of
gratitude in their
deci.siori-making and
problem 'solving. '
A little skit "A Daily
'Work Out", was . acted
out, by Mrs. McDiarmid
and Mrs. McWhinney.
• A hymn was read in
unison followed with
prayer by Mrs.
McWhinney.
Mrs. Girvin then
welcomed everyone and
read a "Litany Prayer"
about women of the Bible.
Sarah was the one chosen
in her prayer.
Minutes. of the last
meeting ;were read- and
adopted.
Roll call was answe.x:ed
by nine members (2
children), by• telling an
example of Christian love
and reporting 20 shut-in.
and sick visits.
-Correspondence ' was
read and dealt-witli.
Treasur"er's report was
given by .. Mrs.
McWhinney. It was
decided to send Easter
cards to all the U.C.W.
members sick in hospital
and Huronview.
A motion was made by
Mrs. McWhinney and
seconded by Mrs. F. Scott
that members have a
pork barbecue and sell
tickets for sometime in
June.
qti1G-was- discussed,
order to have it done in
