The visiting Montreal
atom team enjoyed a
successful weekend- here
and won Ball three garries'
against the-Suncoast
Suns.
Montreal won the first
game of the exhibition
series 8-2 Friday and
added an 11-3 win
Saturday and a 6.1 vic-
tory Sunday 1r) '-comprete
a sweep of the series.

In the first game of the
seires - the Suns gave
Montreal a rough *time
and trailed by a single
goal- after periods.
However, tl ey surreh
dered five goals in the
final period in the 8-2 loss.
Scott Garrow and
Shawn Larder score the
Goderich goals as the
Suns led 2-1 early in the
second period. Montreal
took a 3-2 lead with two
goals in the second period
and exploded for five
more in the final period.
Pierre Raymond scored
four goals for Montreal
and Sylvain Savoie added
two. •

The Suns again came
up with two good periods
of hockey in the game
Sunday but 'allowed
Montreal to score three
times in the final period

the only Goderich goal as.
the Suns took a 1-0 lead
midway through the
opening period. Montreal
tied the game less than a
minute later and added
two goals in the second
period and three in, the
third to clinch the win.

weekend series of hockey games between the
Goderich Atom and Bantam teams and the Pierre -
Fond Atom and Bantam teams from Montreal.

Madgenamed Rookie of the Year
Larry Madge was
named Rookie of the
Year . at the Listowel
Cyclones O.H.A. Junior
'B' annual awards
banquet held in Listowel
last Friday.
Madge played his
minor hockey in Goderich
and was captain of -the
1978-79 all -Ontario
champion Green and
Parent Midgets.
In his first year of
,A Junior B hockey, Madge
scored 18 goals and had 34
assists for a total of 52
points... In presenting the
award, Listowel
Recreation Director Don
Town. referred to Madge
as one ,of the best
defensive forwards in the
Mid -western Ontario
"Junior B league.
The Cyclones were in
their first year of Junior
