meeting on January 21 to
explain the overrun of
costs incurred in the
Senior Citizens' Housing
Project .• in Goderich.
Township" council later
agreed to pay its share of
that overrun.
Accounts totalling
approximately $24,855.
were ordered paid by
council.
Building permits were
issued to Sid Kaastra for
a barn addition on lot 38,
Maitland Concession, and
to J.A.M. for a house on
part lot 13, Maitland
Concession..,
Building permits
requested • by Bert
Dykstra to demolish a
barn and build a barn
addition on lot 3, Huron-,
,Road were also issued by
council but a request by
Mr. Dykstra for a permit
.to build a new dairy barn
at the same site was held
pending further in-
formation.
H, Shore was present at
the council meeting to
request approval--' of a
land transaction on
behalf of his client, Mrs.
T. Sawcher. Council
passed a motionto have
the, clerk investigate the
possibility of exempting,
from land control, any
parcel of land, by passing
appropriate by-laws.-
Council, discussed
correspondence from a
group•of Goderich Senior
Citizens who wrote
requesting a grant for
renovations to their
property in Goderich. It
wasdecided to turn theiy
letter over to LTi°
Goderich Township
Senior Citizens Group„for
comment and to inform
the town g roup._ that_a
,township group is
presently being,formed.
A motion was passed
that the clerk and road
superintendent apply for
the final road subsidy for
1979.
The Daugharty Plan of
sub -division, the beach
access and the beach use,
were referred to council
for an on-site inspection
and later report.
Council moved that a
special meeting be held
January, 28 to open ten-
ders. for the construction
of the township hall.

until February 4.
