Hours of voting in this way will be between 12 noon and 6 p.m. and between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. "This provision is available only to those who find it ' absolutely impossible to vote either on normal polling day, Feb. 18, or at any of the advance polls," states -Chief Electoral Officer,— Jean-Marc Hamel. Such is ,the ease of eligible voters whose names are on the voters' lists .but who will be absent from their polling divisions on polling day as well or during advance polls. Members of the birthday party at Manor On January 16 a bir- thday party was_held at Maitland Manor : for all those residents having a birthday in January. Among those celebrating were Margaret Cun- ningham, Vito Barbaro, Wilmot Hully and Verna Breckow, Jean Pat- terson, Sidney Palmer and Minnie Shier. Minnie was honored as being the senior resident. She was 102 on January 5. The Legion Ladies hosted the party in their usual good fashion. Audrey Sprung led the residents in a sing -song which was enjoyed by all. A new resident, James Van ., Every, was welcomed to the Manor and at the party he discovered he loves to sing. The residents are glad to get back to a bit of a routine after the busy Christmas season. The .holidays were enjoyed by all and it is hoped that ever-yone•..was• personally - thanked. If .by chance anyone was overlooked, this opportunity is taken to thank all whocon- tributed in any way to the residents' enjoyment. Movies are being shown on Monday nights at the Manor. Maurice Wilkinson continues to choose movies. popular with the residents. ' Gordon Harrison conducts the Wednesday night Rhythm Band and ,has everyone toe -tapping Bowling on Tuesday afternoons has also resumed and the weather has co-operated beautifully! The residents are again busy wit crafts and ceramics, a; reparing for their 1980 bazaar. They will, however, be selling some of their work in the Manor Tuck . Shop.
