THURSDAY JANUARY 31 1980 Carl James Stoddart.of Goderich• died „ in Alexandra Marine ' and General Hospital on Saturday, January. :26 at the age -of 66. He was born in Preston - on September 19, 1913 to David and. Ethel (Geoffrey) Stoddart. He was employed by N.M. Paterson and Sons Limited Company as first mate for 31 years. On April 8, 1939 he married Margaret Schoen'hals . in the Bayfield United Church. Following his marriage, he lived in Gdderich except for three years, from 1965-71, which were spent in Welland. He. was an adherent of North Street United Church. He is survived by ,his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Patricia) Chisholm of Goderich, Mrs. Fred -(Carol) Dutot . of . R.R. 3 Clinton, and M!rs. Tom (Peggy) Wadson of Southampton, Bermuda; two sons, Edwin of Toronto, and Gary of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Clare (Myrtle) Kennedy of London and Mrs. William (Irene) McAstocker of Goderich_ ; four brothers, Harvey, Raymond and William, all of London, and Jack of Goderich; and seven grandchildren. Carrie- Kathleen Fraser. of Maitland Manor Nursing Home in Goderich, died at the Manor on Wednesday, January 23 at the age of 97. She was born in Goderich on June 2, 1882 to Donald Alexander and Margaret (Ramsay) Fraser. She attended school in Goderich and worked as a dressmaker in a factory. She was an adherent of North Street United Church. She, was predeceased by five sisters, Jennie, Florence, Margaret Cornell, Evelyn McGrath and Alice Marlett; and two brothers, William arid Reginald. A funeral service Vas held at Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Saturday, January 26 at 11 a.m. The . Reverend Robert O. Ball officiated. Interment was in Maitland Cemetery. MRS. ELVA E. A funeral service and committal were held at Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Thursday, January 31 at 1 p.m. The Reverend John D.M. Wood officiated. Interment was in Clinton Cemetery. Goderich Rebekah Lodge number 89 held a service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 29. at 7 p.m. HAROLD REGINALD FERGUSON • Harold Reginald Ferguson of Huronview, formerly of 154 Bruce Street, -Goderich, died in Huronview of bronchial pneumonia on Saturday, January 19 at the age of 76. ' He was born in Ashfield Township on November _--------- He was married to' Mary Jane Pearl Raynard in Ashfield Township on January 21, 1925. He had been retired for -the-last-11- years,. .• . • --`,' He was a member of the United Church. He was predeceased by his wife; one son, Reg- Ferguson of Woodstock; and one brother, Sidney Ferguson of London. MRS. -RACHEL ANN GRAHAM' Mrs. Rachel Ann Graham died in Alexandra 'Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Wednesday, January 23 in .her. 82nd year. She was born and raised on the 10th con= cession of Ashfield Township, the daughter of the late. Daniel K. Alton and his wife Elizabeth Blake. She married Percy Graham in 1923 and moved to a farm at R.R. 3 Goderich. She lived there until moving to Lucknow in 1957. For the last year and a half, the late Mr's. Graham had been residing at Maple Grove Lodge in Goderich. She was a member of Lucknow -United Church. She was predeceased by her husband, two sisters- brothers. istersbrothers. ROBERT EARL IRVIN There passed away in Vic- toria Hospital in London on Sunday, January 20, 1980, Robert Earl Irvin of Dungan- , non. in his 63rd year. He was 'born in Ashfield Township.on July 21, 1917, a son of the late William Irvin and Mable Alton. On June 28th, 1947. he married Elsie Ritchie. He is survived by his wife and one daughter Betty, Mrs. Fred Stirling of R. R. 3 Thames- ville, two grandchildren, Darlene and Harold Robert, three sisters (Anna) Mrs. Percy Blundell of Goderich, Willa (Curran) Mrs: J. H. Steele of London, (Doreen) Mrs. Eldon Irwin of Sarnia and one brother Russel of Ashfield Township. He was predeceased by his parents and an infant son. She was married October 9, 1950 in Lucknow to Ches- tMFinnigan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David Alfred and-- James Douglas, both of Lucknow, and one sister, Mildred Kathleen Henry, R. R. 1 Kincardine..
