The games were played

The CC club won 6-2 on
Saturday in a clean, fast
game as evidenced by the
fact that the first stop-

minutes of play in the
first period. Tim Bakker
and Kelly Allinscored the
Goderich goals.

Lameert goal -
*The 1-1 ti,e was a fitting
result for the game which
saw fast end-to-end ac-
tion as both teams skated
and passed well. The ban
on body checking used by
the Quebec association '
turns the. game into a
wide open affair with
continuous movement
and few stoppages of
play. The Lion f who are
known as a "hitting
team", :in ,A.heir own
league seemed tohave
little difficulty adjusting
to the' different style of
play: There was only orfe
penalty in Saturday's
game, a minor for trip-
ping to the Lions.
The teams had skated
through two scoreless
periods and then early in
the third period David
Chicheporfiche scored to
put St. Lambert ahead,
setting up • the exciting
finish by the Lions.
Sunday's game shoved
an even greater ad-
.
justment to the Quebec
style game by the Lions
as they outskated the St.
Lambert team and had
piled un a 4-0 lead by the
endathe second period.
Robin. Moore and Rob
Gibbons scored first
period goals, assisted by
Peter Conlon and Trevor
Erb respectively. Conlon
upped the Goderich lead
to 3-0 scoring on passes
