The Goderich Signal-Star, 1985-11-06, Page 3Hallowe'en fun was in the air Thursday night in Goderich as ghosts, goblins, and hobos took
to the street. The Jail, the museum and the highschool all had scary fun for all ages. In the
above picture Lisa Empson, 13, and Tanya Maybon 10, dressed up as hobos. Here they are
trying to keep warm off of the heat of the pumpkin. In the picture below two bunny rabbits
rub noses at the GDCI Hallowe'en party sponsored by the recreation board. The board
donated $500 from the dance to the GDCI student council. Here Dave Hamilton and Lynne

Sampson. He is dressed up a martian. ( photo by Todd Mowatt )
ecruse Goderich is covered under
t l?ility insurance for BMX jumps, council
' will discuss hours of operation and control of
access to the proposed jumps at the
agricultural park with the recreation
•eommittee'at its next meeting on Nov.
"Though we've covered the first step, I
don't think we've done the last two yet,"
said Coun. Gleh Carey.
A report from Clerk -Administrator Larry
McCabe said if the area behind the fastball
diamond in agricultural park is approved,
signs saying "No Motorized Vehicles"
should be posted. And, once the signs are
posted, the town should be vigilent in
making certain the signs are kept in place.
McCabe, Works Commissioner Ken
Hunter and the town's insurance agent Don
MacEwan met to discuss liability.
"We did have a general discussion and it
is council's decision, however, it was our
feeling that because of the use by the
horsemen and access to the area, the
agricultural park may not be the most
appropriate area," said McCabe in the
report.
