The annual meeting and potluck supper
for District 8 Agricultural Societies was
held on Oct. 25 in Milverton. A total of 13
people planned to attend.

There was a discussion about recent
vandalism. at the agricultural grounds.
The police have investigated and it was
agreed that a closer watch and a tougher
stand must be taken.
A tender for fuel oil will be in local
papers for two weeks and applications will
be opened at the next meeting.
It was mentioned that the Dungannon
and Area Kinettes will be sponsoring a
child identification program at the hall on
Nov. 16.
The next regular meeting will be held at
the Dungannon Agricultural hall on Nov.
26 at 8:30 p.m. Any interested people are
welcome. Bring any suggestions for our
annual meeting and potluck in January.

The best dressed couple was an ewok
and a gremlin alias Don and, Gerry Up-
thegrove. The best dressed man was a
private alias Cathy Cougherty. The best
dressed woman was Dolly Parton, better
known as Michelle Brindley. The most
original prize went to an overgrown
rooster, Alex Chisholm. The most
humourous creature was a scarecrow who
turned out to be Lynda McNee. A man who
walked backwards all night was chosen as
the most unusual and who revealed herself
to be Judy Draper.
Auburn Church has guest minister
On Tuesday evening Oct. 22, euchre party
winners were: high lady, Lillian
Letherland; low lady, Bernice McClinchey;
high man, Ross Robinson; low man, Tom
Hallam and novelty prize, Lillian Stewart.
Euchre parties are held at the hall every
Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Everyone
welcome.
Knox United Church
Organ and piano prelude was played by
Mrs. Gordon Gross and Lori Millian. The
Anniversary Service was run by the
minister Gary T. Shuttleworth and guest
speaker Rev. Gordon Pickell of Goderich.
Special music and song by the `Snell Fami-
ly' was enjoyed.
Junior congregation was run by Gail
Dobie, Janice and Leona Cunningham.
Rev. Pickell chose for his sermon "What
Kind of Church Do You Want?" The offering
was received by Lawrence Plaetzer, Gordon
Gross, Brian Ramsey and Allan Webster.
