Yolk sOarating discused The fourth meting of the Port Albert Pastry People . s held on Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Haydn's house. Mrs. Haydenl,demonstrated"how to make chocolate cako. The groups made chiffon and pumpkin cakes with chocolate icing. We talked about how to make different cakes. We also discussed how to separate the yolks from whites. One group experimented on the four different stages of beating egg whites. A Bake Sale at Suncoast mall was considered. The fiftl; meeting of the Port Albert Pastry People was on Oct. 1 at 7:00 pp. at the home of Mrs. Joan Black. At the meeting we learned how to decorate designer cakes. Mrs. Black showed us how to ice a cake, and demonstrated how to put edges, vines, leaves and flowers on a cake. Later, all in attendance each made a designer cake. The Dungannon club joined us and we discussed the Bake Sale we're having on Oct. 12 at the Suncoast Mall starting at 9:00. GO -800.23 Murray Johnston of Goderich didn't have to encourage his dog, Charlie,to participate in the first Valk-a-Dog-a-Thon held here Sunday. In fact, Charlie.was a rather eager participant and may have given Murray a handful. A total of 57 participants and their dogs raised $5,500 for the Canine Vision Centre in Oakville which is sponsored by the Lions Foundation.
