Love Shannon Summer school course offered ';SUMMER SCHOOL 85" is being offered at Central.Huron S.S. in Clinton from July 2- 26. Improvement courses will be offered for secondary students in ,English and Mathematics. Remedial courses in English and Mathematics will also be offered for students in Grades 7 and 8. English as a Se- cond Language and Driver Education will also be available. . Previous summer schools have proven that a student can achieve better results through concentrating his/her efforts in one subject area. Administrators from various Huron County schools are pleased with the imporved work habits and the positive sub- ject attitudes that students have obtained at summer school. "SUMMER SCHOOL 85's" prime objec- tive is to enable a student to maintain a bet- ter standing in a subject in which he/she is having difficulty. A highly concentrated, ac- celerated program of study is offered which will enable the student to gain a better understanding of the subject with which he/she has had difficulty. Love Michael Clean up beach at Port Albert On Tuesday, June 4 a few of the Circuit Breakers got together to clean up broken glass, litter, etc. on the Port Albert Beach. The people who helped clean it up were: Laurie Hayden, Linda Hayden, Donna Hayden, Lorna Young, Monica Young, Wen- dy Miltenburg, Roger Miltenburg, Teresa Meriam, Helena Young and Mrs. Milten- burg. Also on June 5, the Circuit Breakers and Dungannon I and II Clubs, met at Dungan- non Church for a first aid meeting. Hilda Sampson and assistant '1'octfl, guests sneakers from the St. John Ambulance of Goderich showed films on rescue breathing anst aid, choking, bleeding and poison- ing. Helpful tips and important points were given for emergency situations. Hilda demonstrated how to control bleeding by showing members how to make a bandage or dressing and how to make a triangular bandage. Members were divided into groups of five and tried their hand at saving a victim wo king on mannequins. The m Ing concluded with a lunch of Freshie a d cookies.
