Upsets and surprises dominate action
• ) Y BREWSTER
Seventeen games were played . in the
GMSL this week and the standings reveal
many unpredictable results. Dearborn
Steelers are playing some very respectable
ball, but post an 0-5 record.
Garb and Gear, the perennial cellar-
dwellars are playing .500 ball while the
Bulldogs and Raiders still boast a perfect
record. I'm certain that some of the follow-
ing scores will surprise you.
Coyotes blasted Goderich Elevators 13 to
5, but then fell to the Raiders 14 to 12. Sunnys
blasted Goderich Nissan 21 to 5, but were
then upset by Garb and Gear 11-9. Ideal Sup-
ply beat the BB's 12-1, but only beat Dear-
born Steelers 5-0. Murphys Green Machine
mercied the Renegades 15-0 and trimmed
the Gators 22-10. Garb and Gear pounded
tbe Renegades 18-4.
Boyes Transport (Century 21) ailed Lit-
tle Bowl 17-7, but lost to Chrysler 7-3.
Chrysler came back with three in the
seventh to edge Dearborn 9-8. Port Albert
Bulldogs beat the Elevators 9-2 but the
Elevators bounced back with a 14-9 victory
over Goderich Nissan.
Boyes Transport hammered Local 1863 by
an 18-1 score, while Sifto blasted them 13 to
1. Wayne Good suffered a broken ankle in
that game. The Gators edged Sifto 11-9 and
Little Bowl beat Dearborn 13-7 to round out
the weeks action.

A new name ts pro
over Canada's neighbourhood
The best of both worlds.
When the former Victoria and Grey Trust
and the former National Trust merged -in
September, 1984, we formed Canada's
third largest trust company. The
new name, The National Victoria
and Grey Trust Company, was
nice, hut a little too long.
We feel that shortening.
the name to National
trust is not only appropri-
ate, hut better reflects
