OBITUARIES PETER JA!4E`S DOHERTY Peter James Doherty, 21, of RR3 Goderich, died Wednesday, May 22, 1985 at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. The son of Frank Doherty and the former Isabelle Nivins, both of RR3 Goderich, he was born Apr. 19, 1964 in Goderich. A student at Goderich District Collegiate Institute, he was also a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and an honorary member of Goderich Fire Depart- ment. Surviving are his parents, four brothers Kenneth, of Timmins, Paul, of Port Albert and Shawn and Steven, at home, four sisters Kathy, Mrs. Bev Bromley, of Blyth, Laurie, of London, Sharon, of Goderich, and Mary Lynn, at home, one niece Sarah Doherty and three nephews Chris and Scott Bromley and Evan Doherty. Funeral mass was held at St. Joseph's Church, Kingsbridge on Saturday, May 25 with Rev. Frank Dentinger, Celebrant. In- terment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kingsbridge. Pallbearers were Peter's brothers Ken, Paul, Shawn and Steven Doherty, John VanRooy and Kevin Smith. Honorary pallbearers included members of Goderich Fire Department: Chief Bill Beacom, Jack Meriam, Jon Ginn, Mike O'Brien, Bill Fritzley and Glen MacCuspey. Prayer service was conducted. by Rev. Joseph Hardy at the McCallum Funeral Home Friday evening. JAMES WALKER GIBSON .Tames Walker Gibson, 77, of Barrie, died Tuesday, May 21, 1985 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. The son of the late Joseph Gibson, of Liverpool, England and the former Louisa Dabus, of Hensall, he was born Feb 2, 1908 in Hensall. Employed by Ontario Hydro, he was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109, Goderich and a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge 62, Goderich. Surviving are his wife the former Frenda Beadle, three step children Gayle Gibson, of West Hill, Graham Gibson, of Agincourt and Donald Gibson, of Petrolia, 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister Viola May Rutledge and two brothers " Harold and Marlen. Funeral services were held May 24 at Stiles Funeral Home with Rev. John D.M. Wood, of Victoria Street United Church officiating. Interment Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers included three stepsons Gayle, Graham ::and Donald Gibson, grandson Wayne Gibson, Harry Montgomery and Chris Kiar. The Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxilliary to Branch 109 held a memorial service at the funeral home Thursday evening at 7 p:m. GEORGE AUGUST MUCK George August Muck, 77, of Goderich died Friday, May 24, 1985 at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. The son of the late Emil Muck and the former Matilda Rieman, he was born Mar. 31, 1908 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He married the former Erna Evert in Yorkton on Apr. 23, 1930. A service station owner, he was also a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Assembly, Goderich. Surviving are his wife, two daughters Ardith, Mrs. Edmund Brissette, of Goderich and Bernice, Mrs. Robert Miller, of Kirkland Lake, three sons Lyle, of Kirkland Lake, Marvin, of Kitchener and Wayne, of Goderich, 15 grandchildren Gaye Lynn, Bobby and Tracey, Douglas and Lori, Brenda, Jody and David, Grant, Ronald, Donald, Joanne and Treena and Rick and Carey, three great grandchildren Trevor, Brent and Angela and two sisters Rita Grunert, of Yorkton and Lula, Mrs. Fred Krugel, of Vancouver, B.C. Funeral services were held Monday, May 27 at the Bethel Pentecostal Assembly with Rev. Gerald McMillan and Rev. Austin Gedke, of Bethel Pentecostal Assembly officiating.
