Many members from Morningstar Lodge,
Carlow were in attendance for the South
Huron District' Masonic Church Service held
at Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich,
Sunday.
The Grand Chaplain the Rt. Wor. Bro.
Thomas F. Wickett. L. Th. Grand Chaplain
and Minister of the United Church Pastoral
Gharge at -Maple- was the speaker. His Set-
mon was on The Promised Land, was
assisted in the Service by Rt. -Wor. Bro.
Greg Hazlitt, District Deputy Grand
Master, and his Chaplain Wor. Bro_ Douglas
Feagan.
Port Albert's 150th Birthday Executive
Committee met Friday, Apr. 25. Those in at-
tendance- reported.- -progress_ was _ _being
made. Response has been very encourag-
ing, and much has been accomplished.
A float is being constructed to be entered
in area parades this year. Anyone interested
in helping should contact Paul Doherty.
Brookside School and St. Joseph's School,
Kingsbridge students will be asked to design
a logo, and a slogan. A prize will begiven to
the winner.
Th#opening of the fishing season at Port
Albert was reported to be good. (Pete)
Petrie, the Village Storekeeper reports
many rainbow trout were caught.
Twelve year old Danny Carter from Kit-
chener was quite happy with the rainbow he
caught. Vince Villapiana from Kitchener
caught- a nine pound rainbow. Roy Bell-
inger, retired Conservation Officer, and a
resident of the village reports that the Nine
Mile River at the Port is well stocked with
rainbow.
Willie and Elsie Chilton from Moose Fac-
tory spent a few days in the village visiting
their son, Ed and wife Maureen. When in
this area, their family of five boys and two
girls made arrangements that they attend
the Grand Olde Opry in Nashville.
On returning home they will visit with
their son Earl and wife Pearl in Timmins.
The population of Moose Factory is 11100.
They never think of planting their garden
