Bowl-a-thon
The Goderich Strike a Note for Music bowl-a-thon, held Sunday at
Little Bowl to raise money for new band uniforms for GDCI, was a
big success. There were 96 bowlers out, and they raised approx-
imately $4,000 in pledges, exceeding their original target by about
$1,000. In the top photo Joanne Doherty, dressed as the "High Note"

Bowling schedule wraps up
MONDAY NIGHT LADIES
Auleen's Angel's finished the schedule in
true championship form as they took seven
points from trouble. The "Angels" have
held the lead all year and came away win,
ners. Leading the team was Brenda Dineen
with a 679 triple;" plus good games rolled by
Karen Mero 196, Mail Miller 205, Grace
Mugford 638, .,Auleen Theriault 659 triple.
Trouble couldn't seem to get on track but
had good games rolled by Karen Walker 197,
and Audrey Durgin 934.
The Blazers were in fine form as they
managed to take five points from the
Marionettes. Good games rolled by Lor-
raine Jones'204, Earleen Spain 183, 546 triple
and Joyce Hamilton 615 triple. The
Marinnettes were lel by Ila Williams with a
553 triple and Marilyn Bannister 206, Ett
Bradley 211, 541 triple.
Dorothy ,Bourdeau once again led her
team, Shirl's Girls, t� a seven point win over
the No Names. Helping Dorothy were Bren-
da Teighart 202, Joyce Pettus 213, Bev
Whetstone 217, Barb Almasi 225. and
Dorothy Bourdeau with 247, 666 triple. The
No Names had some good games rolled by
Anne McCartney 232, Deb McPhee 236. Del
Giddes with another great night rolled a 622
triple.
The Oldtimers bowled 80 per cent of their
average to take seven points. Top games
rolled by Barb Meriam 171, Chris Million
185, Nancy White 241 and Kris Miller 251, 625
triple.
TUESDAY MORNING
COFFEE BREAK
Early Birds stayed ahead to be the league
winners. Agnes Jansen rolled a 479, .Un-
predictables Marg Swan bowled a 521.
We Team won five points with Betsy .
Rivera bowling 246 and a 535 triple. Pin
Busters were busted for the day.
Just Us won three points Bonnie Hogan
bowled a 431 and Marie MacDonald a 451.
The Broad Squad secured two points with
Pat Mclssac bowling a 462 and Carrie Mid -
del a 465. Rose Rising showed off with a 612
for the high triple of the day.
Fourteen prizes were won by the ladies for
hidden scores, high single, triple and hidden
triple. That raps up the Tuesday mornings
of coffee and bowling. Hope to see yoti all
next fall.
