The neat party will be held on April 13 at the clubhouse. The Silver Tops monthly dinner and meeting will be held on March 27 instead of March 20th. Helen Johnstone of New Horizon was unable to attend on that date, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Helesic of Goderich and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Maize of Port Albert were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Rodger. A good'crowd attended the baby shower last Wednesday for Mrs. Jack Vincent and baby daughter Lee Anne. Many gifts were received and lunchand coffee were served by members of the Boster Club. Mrs. Gail Dobie and her sister, Mrs. Heather McMichael of Goderich, visited in Toronto. Gail went on Saturday to visit her aunt Mrs. Ruth McDonald of Oakville and both visited their sister, Holly, Mr. John McDonald, Mr. McDonald, Matthew, Laura and new daughter Lisa at Newmarket. Argiculture and Canadian Industries will be the topic at the March meeting of the Auburn Women's Institute on March 19 at 2 p.m. The program will be in charge of Mrs. Hugh Bennett and Mrs. Emerson Rodger. The Auburn Trustee Board held its March meeting in the Community Cerftre last Saturday evening. Due to the absence of, Warner Andrews, councillor Jim Schneider was made chairman. The minutes were ac- cepted as read by the village secretary Harry Athur. Due to the many complaints about the icy streets a week ago, the AUBURN Eleanor= Bradn ack, 8B.-75815 trustees notified the proper authorities but they could not attend to the village streets. (Mrs. Eleanor Bradnock, on behalf of the Horticultural Society, thanked the trustees for the grant the society received for flower planting this spring. A discussion took place concerning tree planting on the village streets as several home owners had requested trees in past years. The, trustees decided to ask the Hor- ticultural Society to assist in the planning and planting. If anyone wishes a tree to plant on the side of the street please contact any of the trustees or the village secretary, Harry Arthur. - Greeting the congregation at Knox United Church, Auburn, Sunday morning was Peter Verbeek and Greg Park.. The service was conducted by the minister Mr. Gary Shut-. tleworth with Mrs. Barry Millian as organist. Newly elected members to the board installed were: Jake Middlecamp, Ken Ramsay, Donald Haines and Greg Park. The senior choir sang the anthem, In the Garden. Mr. Shuttleworth gave an in- spiring message on, Getting Ready. Mrs. Robert Worsell supervised the junior con- gregation and the junior ushers were Steven ,Milliam and Keith Hallam. Following the morning service members of the 3M club served a soup, sandwich and dessert lunch as a money making project to paint the church windows. Euchre parties highlight week in Dungannon The February 27 weekly euchre at the Seniors Complex saw 16 tables in play.. Belle Mole had high lady score: Low lady score was Lois Haggitt. High man was Randy Kerr and low man was Ken Cardiff. The horseshoe shaped cake made and decorated by Denise Maize was won by Jean Broughton. There were 14 tables of euchre on March 6. High lady was Margaret Young. Low lady was Aileen Trommer. High man was Clarence Allin and low man was George Errington. The seniors are busy preparing for their St. Patricks tea and bake sale this Saturday at the complex. Congratulations to Rob and Beth Robson on the birth + f a daughter, Alisha Dawn at St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Congratulations to Margaret Mole who celebrated her birthday on -Monday, March 11. On Sunday her family treated her to a DUNGANNON DOINGS Marie Park, 529-7719 birthday supper at the Bedford Hotel. There were 24 relatives from .Kincardine, Dungannon, Brussels and Hensall present. Lee Shelter and Marie Park spent last Thursday in London when Marie had to go back to University Hospital for a checkup Megan, Jennifer and Tim Eedy of Mississauga and Matthew and Andrew Ott of Kitchener are spending the winter break with their Gramma and Grampa, Colleen and Irvine Eedy. Sensational Seamstresses check patterns at 4-H HOLMESVILLE - The third meeting of Holmesville II Sensational Seamstresses was held March 6 at Beverley Van Ninhuys. We opened the meeting with the 4-H Pledge, and all members were present. We then checked our patterns and our body measurements to make sure they mat- ched up. If they didn't we made some altera- tions to the pattern. Some members:finished pinning their patterns to the material, and one senior member had completed her first garment. - We closed the meeting with the 4-H motto. The next meeting will be held on March 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Beverley Van Ninhuys. We should bring our garment cut and marked, or pinned to the fabric and ready to be Something for everyone!
