standings
-
standings have now settled down, although
there ;is still room for an exciting contest to
gain the top position.
Walter Gottschalk, Louis Stadelmann
and Doug Brindley secured two;,, wins
apiece, which consisted of the bulk of the
"evening's victories. The remaining four
went to Owen Moriarty, John Crawford,
Bob Dick and Mark Maurer. Mark is still
heading the Honorary Members' standing
and John Crawford is back on the most im-
proved player list, neck -and -neck with
Eric Hallam.
Speaking of ties, Dave Brown and Mike
Cox drew their game, which is unusual for
both players, Robert Nau had an unlucky
evening, dropping three games, but he,has
a comfortable position in Level 3.
The Goderich Chess Club meets every
Wednesday night at the Recreation
Department room in the grandstand. Call
Doug Brindley at 524-8674 for details.
