married in St. Peter's Anglican Church,
Lucknow on November 15 by the Reverend
Merelyn Letson. The bride is the daughter of
Don and Vera ,.Rae of Wingham and the
groom's parents are Tom and Evelyn
Phillips of RAP 5 Holyrood. Maid of honor
was Bonnie Ablett of Wingham, friend of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Nichol of
Wingham, friend of the bride and Chris
McGee of R.R. 3 Wingham, sister of the
bride. Flowergirl was Anita Phillips of Hen-
sall, niece of the groom and ringbearer was
Mark Phillips of Goderich, nephew of the
groom: Best man was Ken Irwin of R.R. 3
Lucknow, friend of the groom. Guests were
ushered into the church by..Grant .Phillips of
R.R. 1 Wingham, brother of the groom, and
Jim McGee of R.R. 3 Wingham, brother-in-
law of the bride. Following the wedding
ceremony, a reception was- held, at the
Lucknow Legion Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne
Phillips are now residing at 568 Campbell

Church, -Clinton by 'the Reverend Norman
Pick on December 22. Matron of honor. was
Vicki Col°quhoun of Clinton and bridesmaid
was Linda Blake of R.R. 2 Denfield.
- Flowergirl was Chastity Colquhoun and
ringbearer was Jonathan Miller, both of
Clinton. Groomsman was Randy Blake of
Clinton and guests were ushered into the
church by Ron Blake, of R.R. 2 Clinton.
. Following the wedding ceremony, a reeep

The late Mrs. Shackleton was retired as a
school teacher at Victora Public School in
Goderich and was a. member of Knpx
Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by hen husband,
Harry M.Shekleton.
She is survived by two stepdaughters,
Mrs. William (Madeline) Adams of Green-
ville, Texas and Mrs. Jake (Beulah) -Brown
of Sylvan Lake, Alberta; one stepson,
Thomas Shackleton 'bf Goderich; one -
brother,Donald Mason of R.R. 5 Gderich;
and one nephew, Paul Mason of Toronto.
A funeral service was held at McCallum
Funeral Home in Goderich on Monday,
December 24at 2 p.m. The Reverend GL.
Royal of Kox Presbyterian, Church of-
ficiated.
Interment was in the Maitland Ceetery,
Goderich.

MARGARET ANN McMURCHY
Margaret Ann McMurchy of Huronview,
<<., formerly of Ashfield 'Township, died, in
Huronview on Sunday, December 23.
She was born to Ashfield Township to
David and Margaret (Stewart) McMurchy.
'The late MiMcMurchy was retired.as a
practical nurse and was a member of Knox
Presbyterian Church, Goderich.
She was,predeceased by three sisters and
three brothers.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. George
(Olive) Dunbar of Brussels and several
nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday,
December 24 at 11 a.m. at McCallum
Funeral Home in Goderich. The Reverend
G.L. Royal of Knox Presbyterian Church of-
ficiated.
Interment was in Kintail Cemetery: -

The WMS of Knox Presbyterian Church
met in the Sunday School room on
December 11 where all members enjoyed a"
delicious pot luck dinner.
The president, Mrs. R. McAllister,
selected the hymn, "Come Thou Long -
Expected Jesus" for the opening, followed
by prayer. -.
Passages of scripture were read by Mrs.
G. McEwan, Mrs. A. Young and Mrs. 0..
Falkiner. The hymn, "Angels from the
Realms of Glory", was sung.
Mrs. McAllister read passages from the
1983 Glad Tidings and a few minutes of
silent prayer followed.
The church.secretary, Mrs. Sandy Sower-,
by, was presented with a gift in recognition
of her great help to the society. Mr. Pollock,
the custodian, was sent a gift in recognition
of his good services also.
,, The minutes were read and adopted. The
roll call was answered and -the offering was
receided.
The Stratford -Huron Pres byteria Is' an-
nual meeting will be held in Seaforth First
Presbyterian Church on January 18.
Mrs. C. Edwards, recording secretary,
gave an excellent report of the's work.
Ma_ report showed that the socl�ty had a
very successful- year.
The conveners r the committees then
gave their annual orts.
Mrs. McAllister thanked the ladies for
their support and co-operation.
The' meeting was turned over to the
Reverend G.L. Royal. He addressed the
ladies; installed the new officers and pro-
nounced the benediction. '
UCW holds. Christmas meeting
The Christmas meeting of Donnybrook
UC.W. was held on Tuesday, December 11
at the home of Wanda Jefferson. Margaret -
Hildebrand opened the meeting with: the
business, 'reading 'of .minutes of the last
rn eti7Tg and the financial report.
The roll call was answered by a memory
of a Christmas past.
• Everyone sang "0 Corrie All Ye Faithful",
followed by a reading by Margaret, the
lighting of a candle by Donna Bieman and a
tape of "Hark The Herald Angels":t
Donna litthe second candle, read a prayer
and members listened to "0 Little Town Of
Bethlehem".
Margaret read "Christmas Is", and
members sang "Away in A. Manager".

NORMAN EDWARD MILLION
Nortrnan Edward Mullion died suddenly ill

He was born' in }Wapiti Creek, Saskat-
chewan on September 16, 1914. He received
his schooling there and worked around the -
area until moving to Kindersley, Saskat-
chewan where he became a meat cutter by '
trade.
In -1943, he joined the aimed forces in Eda
mouton and served in Canada and the
United Kingdom until he was hospitalized
home to Calgary in August of 1944 and
received his discharge for medical ream.
He took a course in barbering arid'
operated his own business in Acme, Alberta
for a period of time.
During his lifetime, he had various trades
and in his later years, he went into the sad-
dlery and art craft. He sold many of
his leather productsin central Alberta,
.retiring to Brooks in 1980. His leather craft
then became an enjoyable hobby until' ill
health forced him to give it up.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian
Legion, E.I.D. Branch No. 63, Brooks,
Alberta. '
The late Mr. Million is survived by his ex-
wife, one.da.ltghter:and three grandchildren.
Also surviving hire are three brothers,...
Thomas Million of Calgary, William Million
of Goderich and David Graham of Medicine
Hat; five sisters, Mrs. Henrik (Anna) Berg
of Brooks, Mrs. Mayme Wolff of Goderich,
Mrs. Einar (Mildred) Jacobsen of Calgary,
and Mrs. Marjorie„Dowling and Mrs. Albin
(Gwendolyn) Jenko, both of Brooks; and
many nieces and nephews. '
He was predeceased by his mother in 1918,
his stepmother in 1945, a brother Benson in
1966fancy. and his father in 1980. He was also
predeceased by a brother and sister ip in -
Funeral services were held December 18
from Smith's Memorial Chapel with the
Reverend Ken Grambo and the Legion of-
ficiating. Pallbearers were Legion com-
rades.
