GENERAL APPEAL
This year, the Little Bowl Five Pin
Bowlers Association, has been formed to
promote the sport of bowling in Goderich
and the surrounding area. They hope to do
this by awarding glasses to those who roll
scores that rate honourable mention ac-
cording to their regular season average.
They will also be hosting various tour-
naments throughout the year such as the
High -Low and Executive tournaments. If
possible, we hope to assist financially the
winners of these tournaments as they go on
to the provincial roll offs. The funds for
activities will be raised through the sale of
booster club tickets, etc.

stocking program of rainbow trout 'in the
Maitland River by the Maitland Valley
Anglers and the Ministry of Natural
Resourses. Fred Salter, president of the
Maitland Valley Anglers advised that
meetings are being held with club executive
and the Ministry of Natural Resoures. The
plan which has yet to receive final approval
of the minister. will be both long term and
short term.
The long term plan will involve the
building of up -welling boxes to be placed in
suitable locations in the Maitland

rehabilitation by the club.
The short term plan will involve the stock-
ing of yearlings, 6" to 8" rainbow, fairly
close to the mouth of the river in order that
they may move out into the lake to feed as
soon as possible after stocking.
This project will be managed by the
Ministry of Natural Resources who will tag
many of the fish. Financing will be by the
Maitland Valley Anglers who will raise
funds through a raffle. The number of yearl-
ings stocked will depend on the proceeds
from the draw which is scheduled for early
in the new year.
The club is also'planning a club derby to
be held during the opening weekened of the
trout season next spring.
