Home ice coi7tinued to be a jinn for the
Goderich Lions Pee Wees as -they, dropped
two contests last week.
On„ Wednesday against St Marys, the
Uon,s'Were abletto handle the opposition in
the first period but after that it *as a game
the Inions would like to forget as they lost 13 -
4. Mike Craig of St. Marys did all the
damage to the Lions with his six goals and
five assists. For the Lions the goal scorers
were Chris O'Neil, Andre Cauchi, Greg
Alcock and Gregg DeWinter. Assists went to
Tim Harrison, DeWinter, George Sideris,
and Lonnie Romig.
.On Saturday againsr Exeter, the Lions
spotted the opposition a 3 -1 lead and it was
uphill *the, way after that. They were able
to tie the game at three but an early third
period goal,stood good for Exeter in their 4 -
3 win.. The Lions had many scoring oppor-
tunities in the third period but somehow the
puck stayed out of the net. The Lions who
did man >e to put the red light on were
George Sideris with two goals and Brian
Lane a single. Assists went to Greg Alcock,
Jason Minn, Tim Harrison and Chris
O'Neil.
With these two loses, the Lions now have
not gained a point at home this year in four
tries but this Saturday, they will be working,
extra hard to break thiskid before they dig
too big a hole in their league standings
which now stand at three wins, five losses
and one tie.
