Ron Klages, Paul Kelly and Paul Bartliff
each had two hits while Ron Sowerby add-
ed a home run. Mike Frayne was C.C.'s of-
fense with three hits, one home run and
four RBIs. Rob McDonald 'and Brian
Shewfelt added two hits each.
Lakeport Steel stayed alive in game
three with a 7-6 win in eight innings. Doc
Miller hit a home run to tie the game in the
seventh. Miller led with three hits while
Ron Miller, Carman Fielder, Lloyd Tigert,
Wayne Draper and Frank Hagan each had
two hits. Gary Peters led with three hits
for Bedford while Brian Sowerby and Bill
Black followed with two hits.
Bedford then embarrassed the Steelers
12-0 in game four to win the series. Prian
Johnston led the way with three hits and
six RBIs. Gary Peters also had three hits
as did Del Mjtchelmore: Rob Plunkett and -
Jim Crawford each had two hits.
However, Bedford's opponent in the
semi-final is still unknown as Hayter's and
French Cleaners are tied at two games
each.
French won game two 6-5 with three
runs in the sixth inning. George Sutton led
French with two hits while Jim Martin ad-
ded a home run. Myles Murdock and Den-
nis Williamson had two hits each for
Hayter's, who outhit their opponents 8-6.
Hayter's regained the lead in game
three with a 4-2 victory. Dave Scholl pitch-
ed a three -hitter for Hayter's and gave up
two unearned runs. Scholl also helped of-
fensively with three RBIs. The other
Hayter run came on a Phil Petrie home
run.
But French tied the series again with a 2-
1 win in game four. Both Dave Scholl and
Don Bogie pitched four -hitters as all three
runs in the game were unearned.
Thetw,o teams play the deciding game of
the 'series this week.
