Last Saturday morning the
community met at Reid's
Corner Hall in order to L H A L S
discuss the issue on a new
community hall for our area.

ment that first needed was a
ball park and second a new
hall. The hall would have a Kee Webster, 4815-58157capacity of 4000 square feet
and a seating capacity of 400.
Reid's 'Hall is considered to
be too small, and has very
little parking space.

Country Roads Showcase
concert will offer fairgoers
some of the finest contem-
porary country music ever
presented here.
Terry Sumsion and his
band Stage Coach will
headline the all -Canadian
production, along with
Ramblin' Fever, Prairie
Wing and Rare Breed Coun-
try.
Terry's rendition of "Our
Lovin' Place" topped the
Canadian country charts and
the album of the same name
is currently one of the best-
selling Canadian country
releases of 1983. Sumsion's
clean 'n' easy styling has
gained him chart ap-
pearances with "Brand New
Love Affair" and "Crazy
Love Games", and he's
building a solid reputation as
one of Canada's fastest -
rising country stars.
St. Thomas' Ramblin'
Fever banded together for
instant local success. They
have already made ap-
pearances on the touring
Grand Ole Opry show and
performed at the Mohawk
Jamboree this summer.
Their Nashville -produced
single "We Deserve to Share
Our Love Tonight" is
garnering recognition in
clubs and on the radio air-
waves throughout
Southwestern Ontario.
Rare Breed Country from
the Windsor area is making
the country music world sit
upand take notice. The
original band worked locally
for five years before they hit
the road in 1982. Since, they
have worked the top country
clubs in Ontario and recently
completed a successful sw-
ing through Western
Canada.
Prairie Wing is fresh off a
trimphant tour of Ontario.
The London-based group
were the winners of the 1981-
82 Country Roads competi-
tion and recently recorded
"The Hawk Is Flying", a
tribute to Ronnie Hawkins.

Jim Finnigan, of Lucknow, and Grace M. Schill, of Wingham,
were married at Sacred Heart Church in Wingham on August
6, 1983. Father J. D. Marentette officiated. The groom is the
son of Mr. Chester Finnigan of Lucknow, and the bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schill of R. 3 Teeswater. The
maid of honour was Jennifer Schill, and the bridesmaid was
Audrey Schill, both,of R. 3 Teeswater. Flower girl was Crystal
Foxton, and the ring bearer was Gary Foxton, both of
Whitechurch. Richard Brighton of Barrie was the grooms-
man, and Keith Schill of R. 3 Teeswater was the usher. A
reception was held at the Legion Hall in Wingham. The bridal
couple will reside in Lucknow.
