CAD/CAM SEMINARS
CAD/CAM AWARENESS FOR INDUSTRY
The College recently opened its CAD/CAM CENTRE (Computer
Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing). This introductory
course is aimed at enlightening industrial personnel regarding the
capabilities. and potential of High Technology.
Upon completion of this course industrial personnel will
understand: fundamental concepts and CAD/CAM applications;
criteria for selection and acquisition of a CAD/CAM system;
personnel requirements; potential and limitations of various
systems; capital investment requirements and justification for
implementation.
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN
This course is designed to introduce the student to the
"Hardware" and "Software" configuration that comprises a CAD
system.
The Operating Techniques of the system and manipulative
interaction with "Euclid advanced solid modeling" software will be'
studied and practiced to the degree where mechanical
engineering parts and components can be designed and plotted.
Fees, start dates and schedules will vary and will be determined
after applicants have been grouped based on experience. More
advanced seminars will be offered to industrial personnel.
