Steven Craig Chamney and Charlotte Joan Hamilton
exchanged marriage vows beneath an arbour on the lawn at
the summer home of the bride's parents on July 9, 1983. Rev.
Bonny Smith officiated. The bride is the daughter of Al and
Gladys Hamilton of Lucknow and the groom's parents are
Stuart and Lois Chamney of R. 2, Auburn. Sharon Johnson of
Exeter was matron of honour and Barb Van Diepenbeek, R. 7,
Lucknow, Joyce Bloschinsky of London and Susan Chapman
of Toronto were bridesmaids. Michele Pletch of Belgrave was
flower girl. Jimie Lee, Edmonton, Alberta and John Van
Diepenbeek, R. 7, Lucknow were page boys. Ron Johnson of
Exeter was groomsman and the guests were ushered by Steve
Hamilton of Winterburn, Alberta, /George Bloschinsky of
London and Tony Howald of Lucknow. A reception followed at
the Lucknow and District Community Centre. The couple are

Thomas Leroy (Roy)
McCreight of 246 Elgin
Avenue, West, Goderich,
died Thursday, August 11 at
Alexandra Marine \ and
General Hospital in his 86th
year.
He was born in Turnberry
Township to John Cherry
and Jane (Carter)
McCreight and later moved
with his family to the tenth
concession of Elma Town-
ship.
The late Mr. McCreight, a
retired employee off the
CNR, served the railway in
many places, including
Lucknow, Harriston and
Palmerston.
He was a member of the
Independent Order of
Oddfellows, Atwood and was
presented with his 60 year
Jewell this year.
He was well-known in the
area during his earlier years
as a master of ceremonies at
old time events, having
called with Don Messer on a
few occasions and CKNX,
W Ingham.
The late Mr. McCreight
was a member of North
Street United Church in
Goderich.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Flora Mann of
Goderich; daughters and
sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Arden (Helen) Barker of
R.R. 1 Newton and Mr. and
Mrs. Harold (Jean) Elliott of
R.R. 6 Goderich; three
grandchildren, Brenda`
Barker of Grand Prairie,
Alberta and Donald and
Helen Elliott of R.R. 6
Goderich; and one brother,
Lister of Atwood.
He was predeceased by
one daughter, Bertha in
1932; a grandson Tom
Barker in 1976; four brothers
and one sister.
The body of the late Mr.
McCreight rested at Peebles
Funeral Home, 141 John
Street, Atwood after 2 p.m.
Saturday, August 13 until
Sunday, August 14 when a
funeral service was held at 3
p.m. The cReverend Scott
officiated.
The IOOF no, 332 held a
memorial service at the
funeral home on Saturday,
August 13 at 9 p.m.
Interment was in
Wingham Cemetery.

Myron Eveneshen of
Goderich died in Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital
on Sunday, August 7 at the
ageof44.
He was born in Hafford,
Saskatchewan on August 31,
1938 to Nicholas and
Margaret (Wintonyk)
Eveneshen.
He married Doris Dem-
psey in Midland on January
31,1959.
He worked as a cage
tender at the salt mine in
Goderich.
He is survived by his wife;
a son, Brad Dempsey of
Goderich; one sister, Mary

Midland.

Wesley James Budnark of
Goderich died in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London on Mon-
day, August 15 at the age of
six days.
He was born August 9,1983
to Donald and Dianne
(Verhoef) Budnark of
Goderich.
He is survived . by his
parents; one sister, Sara
Jane; and his maternal
grandparents, Arie and
Dingena Verhoef of R.R. 2
Seaforth.
He was predeceased by his
paternal grandparents,
Wesley and Edna Budnark.
The family will receive
friends at the McCallum
Funeral Home in Goderich
this Thursday, August 18
from 7-9 p.m.
A private family funeral
service will be held at the
funeral home on Friday
afternoon, August 19. The
Reverend Harry Vriend of
Trinity Christian Reformed
Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the
Maitland Cemetery.
J. LENNON O'LOUGHLIN
The death of J. Lennon
O'Loughlin of Rochester,
Michigan occurred July 30.
1983 at the Hospice South-
field, Michigan. The eldest
son of the late Joseph and
Mary O'Loughlin, he was
born in Kingsbridge, August
30, 1904 and attended the 9th
school.
On December 19, 1923, the
late Mr. O'Loughlin went to
Detroit for an apprenticeship
in the plumbing trade. In
February 1930 the J. L.
O'Loughlin Plumbing and
Heating Company was foun-
ded.
The late Mr. O'Loughlin
was a former National Dir-
ector of the Mechanical Con-
tractors Association, a mem-
ber and former director of
the Detroit Association, past
president and director of
Mechanical Contractors As-
sociation of Detroit. In busi-
ness the J. L. O'Loughlin
Company was noted for its
quality installations and
square dealings with its cus-
tomers. Mr. O'Loughlin re-
tired in 1971.
The late Mr. O'Loughlin is
survived by his wife Merla
(Reagan) O'Loughlin, daugh-
ters, Mary Anne Cueney of
Birmingham Hills, Merla
Szydlowski of Rochester,
Lynne De Grande of Grosse
Point, Peggy Campbell,
Flint, Michigan and Patti
Ocalla of Florida; sons, Jam-
es L., Troy, Daniel J. of
Dallas, Texas, John of De-
troit and Bill of Boston.
He is also survived by his
sisters, Mrs. John Kinney
(Bernardine) of Kingsbridge,
Mrs. Harry F. Schmidt, Blue
Bell, Pennsylvania and Mrs.
Ed Shea of Berkley, Michi-
gan.
Funeral service was held
from the Desmond Funeral
Home. Requiem Mass was
concelebrated at his former
parish St. Micheals of South-
field by Father Ralph
O'Loughlin CSB of Missouri,
Texas as celebrant, Wednes-
day. August 3, 1983 with
burial in Holy Sepulchre
Cemetery, Southfield.
Orchestra to
perform concert
The 1983 season of the Na-
tional Youth Orchestra of
Canada will culminate in the
Orchestra's only Toronto
performance of this year, in
Massey Hall on the evening
of August 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Since the third week in Ju-
ly, over 100 gifted young in-
strumentalists, specially
selected in Canada -wide
auditions, have been engag-
ed in an intensive program
of rehearsals, workshops
and performances at the an-
nual summer session of the
National Youth Orchestra
