There are skills to assist us in ,being UP FRONT. We have dots of guidance for what seems to be normative or expedient behaviour. And most of the time we do pretty well. But,. it's much more than the old debate over faith and works. It says something deeper for us in terms of meaning for life. Usually we are able to see it in others, when it is genuinely attrac- tive and believable. It is the unselfish deed, the comfor- ting word, the caring life, that springs from resources of a higher kind. Such resources are available to all, who by faith, take seriously the mandate of the Gospel, to seek first the Kingdom of God. Such resources are promised to the faithful, who begin with honest worship and discipleship.
