Men fined $500 for stealing fish from the Port Albert fish ladder
Two area men were fined
$500 each when they ap-
peared in court in Goderich
recently for the theft of fish
from the Fish Ladder at Port
Albert earlier this spring.

citizens may camp .free until
June 17. From then until
Labor Day, they will have to
pay for Fridays and Satur-

Sam and Nancy Cowan,
who have been in Florida for
the winter, recently returned
to their summer home in

weekend in Sarnia visiting
friends.
Don and Barb Harrower
from Holly, Michigan have
been vacationing at their
cottage in the village this
week.
Visiting with their parents
for a week are Ken and Nan-
cy Doherty and son Evan
from Timmins. Ken and
Nancy . are former village
residents. Ken Doherty is
curator of the museum in
Timmins and this week he
will be attending a history
seminar in Kitchener for
three days.
Port Albert Pirates played
Monday night in Lucknow.
In a very close game they
edged the' Crystaliers 13-12.
The Pirates will play Ben -
miller in Benmiller Tuesday
night. The Benmiller team
was the League Champion
last year. -

The ACW of Christ
Anglican Church met at the
church Wednesday for the
June meeting... President
Margaret Young gesided.
In, the business portion of
the meeting, it was decided
that Vi Petrie, Alma Black
and Ann Livingstone would
attend the Deanery Meeting
at the Anglican Church in
Ripley on June 7.
The garage sale will be
held July 2. Over the years
