AIRPORT ROAD { TQwnship: GRANT IIARTWICK 'ARLEY Grant Hartwick Farley of R R. 2 .09derieb died in University Hospital, London on Friday, June 3 at the age of 58. He was born in Kincardine on June 12, 1924 to Clayton and Mary (Hartwick) Farley. He attended : Kin- cardine Public, and High Schools. He served in World War II as Private no. A-107999 with the R. C.O. C. Unit. He enlisted on September 2, 1943 and was invalided out on September 21, 1944. s He married Margery Campbell Low on December 27, 1972 and they had lived in Goderich since their marriage. The late Mr. Farley worked as a machine shop foreman at Champion Road Machinery in Goderich. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109 and Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich. He is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Clayton (Mary) Farley of Kin- cardine; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Mary) Shaw of Fort Erie and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Bullen and Mrs. James (Doris) Meldrum, both of Toronto; four uncles; one nephew and four nieces. A funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Monday, June 6 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Arthur C. Young officiated. Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Pallbearer's were Don Stimson, Jack Grace, Kip White, Bruce Sowerby, Bob Taylor and Elgin Fisher. Flower bearers .were John Stoll and Jim Matthews. The Royal Canadian Legion and the Ladies' Auxiliary of Branch 109 held a service at the funeral home Sunday evening, June 5 a 7 p.m. diS at 58 DBTUARES J.F. (FRANK) HEARD J.F. (Frank) Heard of 427 Coombs Avenue, London died in University Hospital, London on Friday, May 27 in his 67th year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bette (Thomas) Heard; three children, Mrs. Alan (Sue) Watt of Ottawa, David Heard of Kingston and Dan Heard of London; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Sandy of Goderich and Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Cooper of Toronto; and five grand- children. He was predeceased by a sister, Peg, in 1973. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 30 at 1:30 p.m. at the Needham Funeral Chapel in London. The Reverend Janet Lynall of St. George's Anglican Church in London officiated. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Contributions to the Ontario Heart Foundation were accepted by the family. CLARENCE HUGILL A Clinton native, Clarence Hugill, died in Goderich on May 21. He was 71 years old. Mr. Hugill was born in Clinton on September 24, 1912 and lived in the Clinton and Goderich areas throughout his lifetime. He was married to the late ' Bernice Steep in Clinton and he worked for Ontario Hydro until his retirement. Mr. Hugill is survived by one son Ronald of Lambeth. Also surviving are two grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Arnold (Verna) Rath well and Mrs. Gordon- ( Mary) Horner and four brothers Wes, William, Clifford and. Elmer Hugill. Funeral services were held at the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on May 25. Rev. James Bechtel officiated and interment followed in the Clinton Cemetery. Pallbearers included Randy Hugill of Goderich, James Holdenmeyer of Kitchener, Bill Vodden, Bob Vodden, Roy Wheeler and Larry Jones, all of Clinton. Flower bearers were Larry Hugill of London, Doug and Wayne Hugill of RR 2, Seaforth and Gerald Hohner of Kitchener. Kenneth Leo Young, son of Vince and Betty Young of Goderich' and Margaret Elaine Henderson, daughter of John and Ruth Henderson, also of Goderich, were wed May 4 by the Reverend Noble G. Lavelle of the Can- dlelight Wedding Chapel, Las Vegas, Nevada. Maid of honor was Anne Drennan and bridesmaid was Nancy Smith, both of Goderich. Groomsman was Terry McGuire ' of Goderich. Following. their wedding trip in Las Vegas, the :.couple took up residence at 177 Quebec Street, Godelrich.
