Darrell is a graduate of GDCI and has just com- pleted his second year of the journalism program at Carleton University, Ottawa. +++ The Goderich Trotting Association recently donated $300 to the Goderich Branch of the St. John Ambulance. The money will go toward the purchase of a new mobile unit. +++ Lisa Steckle, daughter of Ivan and iPat Steckle of Goderich, received a $150 scholarship from the Kiwanis Music Festival in a ceremony at ' Oakridge School m London on April'26: This money will be used for her future lessons in guitar with Randy Lawson. +++ Dianne Hibbert, a recent graduate of the London Regional School for Nursing Assistants, has received her Ontario Registration Cer- tificate. Dianne, daughter of Harold and Joan Hibbert, is employed by Chelsey Park Oxford Nursing Home in London. Playhouse Box office opens May 16 The Huron . Country Playhouse box office has been open to subscribers on- ly since April 18. On Monday, May 16, tickets went on sale for those who wish to attend selected individual perfor- mances rather than the en- tire season. Tickets are also on sale for the three musicals on PLAYHOUSE II - "18 Wheels", "The Return of the Curse of the Mummy's Revenge" and "Eight to the Bar" - and for the three Sun- day concerts - The Family Brown on June 26, Moe Koff- man on July 24 and The Nylons on August 7. Children wanted for play As in the 'past, Huron Country Playhouse will be holding special children's auditions for one of the plays in the 1983 season. This year, several girls, aged 7 to 14 years, will be needed to perform in the in- spiring drama The Miracle Worker by William Gibson. The Miracle Worker is the story of the first meeting and the close friendship between the young Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan. The girls needed for the show will be playing the young companions and first pupils of Annie Sullivan before she meets Helen. Also needed, for the Playhouse roster is a non - singing man in his fifties for a role in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific.
