Pay
dividends
Bloomington, Ill. — State
Farm Mutual will distribute
about $5.5 million in
dividends to its Ontario
policyholders in 1983. For
most State Farm customers,
the dividend will be approx-
imately 11.0 percent of their
semi-annual premiums.
Ontario is one of the pro-
vinces and states in which
State Farm policyholders
are sharing in a total of
about $69 million that will be
distributed during the billing
cycle beginning April 15.
Dividends will be deducted
from the premium amount
shown on each customer's
bill.
State Farm said the deci-
sion to pay dividends in On-
tario was made because
underwriting results in 1982
were in excess of the com-
ppaany's total financial needs.
'The favorable underwriting
results were attributed to the
company's lower-than-
expected claim losses.
