Crowd watches Goderich win "B" cons
Goderich scored three first
period goals on their way to a 4-1
victory over Kingsville to capture
the division "B" consolation
Saturday afternoon before a stan-
ding room only crowd at the
Goderich arena.
Scott Carrow had two goals for
Goderich with singles going to
Bill Trebish and Bill Whetstone
while Mike Feyko had the only
Kingsville marker.
The game was a chippy affair
particularly in the final period.'
Over 40 minutes in penalties were
called including a game miscon-
duct to Kingsville's Chris Picken
for slashing.
After early Kingsville pressure
forced Goderich to take a penal-
ty, Garrow and Trebish combin-
ed for a shorthanded goal with
Trebish putting it past Kingsville
goalie Shawn Bevington for the
game's first score.
Twenty-five seconds later, Gr -
row scored Goderich's second
shorthanded marker when he put
in his own rebound.
Garrow also closed out the first
period scoring when he raced in
and beat Bevington after
Goderich defenseman Byron
Bowman made a nice play to tip
the puck ahead.

in the late Minutes but were
unable to • put ' the puck past
Goderich netminder Thm Durnin,
who played a solid game for the
home team.
•Bill Whetstone put Goderich
ahead 4-0 at 7:19 of the second
period when, from his knees, he
directed the puck past Bevington.
Kingsville had their chances but
Durnin turned aside everything
they had to offer.
Kingsville scored early in the
final, period when Feyko's wrist.
shot deflected off a .Goderich
defenseman's stick and sailed
over Durnin's shoulder. But any
comeback hopes Kingsville may
have been having were dealt a
severe blow when Chris Picken
• was assessed a five . minute
slashing •penalty plus the
automatic two minute minor for
taking a two-handed swipe at
Goderich's David "Slhn" Brown.
• Picken was also thrown out of the
game for his actions.
Leading 4-1, Goderich did not
exert great pressure on
Kingsville and did not score dur-
ing their man advantage situa-
tion. •
Because of a lot of unnecessary
roughness after each whistle, the
• penalty minutes began piling up
in the third period. As a result,

Goderich and Kingsville both
