Frank and his wife Eva and their daughter Glenda welcomed the surprise guests. Assisted by their granddaughter Geri Lynn and a few special friends, the Mcllwains entertained the guests and served tea, coffee, birthday cake and ice cream while mingling and chatting and renewing acquaintances. Frank and Eva McIlwain are well-known in the district, having operated the Carlow store for many years before retiring to Goderich.
