We: have a ;focus and that.. is moving forward and rebuilding our. lives," explains Mrs. Darte. Bereaved Families of Ontario is modelled after other- self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, says Mrs. Darte. It is people helping people. Group leaders are developed out of bereaved parents and confidentiality is stressed at all times. Bereaved Families aren't told how to get over their grief. No one ever gets over the death of a child. But they are helped to find their own way of coping, using their own inner resources. Mrs.- Darte's way of coping is to help others.
