Reveal town expenges
Figures Presented to town council by administrator
Larry McCabe recently, indicate that councillors and
town employees spent almost $23,000in expenses for
travel, conventions and seminars in 1982.
In a ,suminary of r the travel schedule expenses,
McCabe pointed out that the total amount
represented .0041 per cent of the total municipal
budget. Council had budgeted for expenses of 526,000
or .0047 per cent 'of the total 1982 budget.
Former councillor Elsa Haydon received $2,530 in
expenses; Harry Worsell, $1,530; Don Wheeler, 5644;
Bob Allen, $558; John Doherty, $263; Jim Magee 5468;
Stan Profit and Glen Carey, $95.75; Jim Britnell $481;
and Jim Searls, $34598.
Expenses for administrative personnel included;

Larry McCabe, $2,146; Ken Hunter, $1292, Doug
Harrison, $1,371; Chief Pat King, $1,587; Lee Ryan,
$278; Gerry Fisher, $818 and Jane Netzke, $1,384.
The money was paid for travel expenses and for
tuition costs for employees and councillors to attend
seminars and conventions. The administrative
committee of town council will formulate a policy
regarding conferences and seminars.
The town administrator will formulate guidelines
for consideration at the next meeting of the ad-
ministrative committee of council.
