Ltd. but were laid off several weeks ago. 5 YEARS AGO Secondary school teachers in Huron County waited until the eleventh hour before. taking strike action Wed- nesday morning after contract negotiations with Huron County Board of Education ended Tuesday. Warden Gerry Ginn called the 1978 budget for Huron County a "stand ' pat budget". Costs are up, Ginn told county councillors at the February session of council in Goderich Thursday, but the county apportionment will not increase. An energy resource centre' will be established in Goderich March 1, one of 149 centres set up across the country through, the federal department of labor, to encourage less resource consumption and educate the public on resource alter- natives. A lottery will be employed to raise funds for the new grandstand in Goderich.
