Stress is very real For the totally commis- sioned sales person in a downturned economy, stress becomes a very real and • very threatening thing. And with the current real estate market in Ontario suf- fering thniugh some hard days, it's easy to see why a session on stress manage- ment would be a popular workshop at a real estate conference. o The workshop on stress, titled "What ... me worry?", will be led by John Lavery, Ph.D., a psychologist at Brock University in St. Catharines. It's expected that in addi- tion to dealing with- stress amongst real estate profes- sionals themselves, the workshop will also assist them in dealing with clients. In an age when high interest rates are forcing families to give up their homes and when marital problems lead to the breakup of families and homes, brokers and sales representatives are often called upon to handle volable stress -filled situa- tiotIS. The workshop on stress will be held Sunday morning, February 20, as part of the • 614 annual conference of the Ontario Real Estate Associa- tion. the conference is scheduled for February 20 and 21, at the Sheraton Cen- tre Hot& ,The, Ontario Real Estate Asoel8tiOn represents more that) 24,000 real estate pro- feselonala in 46 loeal real estate boards across the pro.
