Several couples attended Swosda at Komoka on January 22: 'Lois .and Ed- ward taught the new round of the month in the afternoon and cued for the round dance hour in the evening. Swosda is sponsoring "The Spring Gala" on May 28 in the Clinton School. Dancers from all parts of Western On- tario are expected. . The evening of dancing always ends with a lovely lunch. The l6th annual meeting of the Huron -Perth. Presbyterial, United Church Women, was held January 24 at Northside United Church, Seaforth, with the theme "Jesus Christ, the Life of the World." A sing -song was led by Audrey Mcllwain; assisted by Northside junior choir, accompanied by Jane Vincent. Grace Pym, president, opened her remarks with the words, "God has given us this new day. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." She spoke briefly to the 250 ladies assembled and led in prayer. Joan Campbell, Seaforth U.C.W. president, welcomed the group and Marion Anderson, London Con- ference U.C.W. president, brought greetings. Committee reports were presented in the form of a judicial inquiry with Judge Alma Langford presiding. This proved to be in- formative as well as humorous. An inspiring worship was led by the ladies of North Perth region with the theme "Abundant Christian Life." A resolution was passed - strongly opposing the in- clusion of pornographic material on Pay TV and letters of protest are being sent to the proper officials.
