The crowds turned out in their usual large numbers to buy crafts, home-made baking and fresh produce. (Photo by Joanne Buchanan). • Mustangs lose two games The Clinton Mustangs lost two close .games last weekend in Central Jr. 'C' action an..Frida.,uaight-they.. travelled to Port Elgin and lost a close one 3-2, while on Sunday afternoon they drop- ped a 4-0 decision to the Walkerton Black Hawks. ,, Port Elgin opened the scoring on Friday night with a pair of first period goals while the Stangs were held scoreless. Newcomer Darryl Graham opened the scoring in the second period for the Stangs assisted by Brian Horner. The teams traded goals in the third period as Jim Fritzley scored the Clin- ton marker and, the Mustangs tried in vain to even the count but failed to pull the goaltender until the final terr seconds- and- the - game ended 3-2. In Walkerton last Sunday the Stangs were held scoreless for the first time in a long time as Walkerton scored twice in the first two periods and the Stangs failed to, put the puck in the net. The Black Hawks outshot the Mustangs 36-25 in the con- test. The Mustangs' goalten- ding duo of Jim MacDonald ,and Jeff Denomme have played exceptionally well in, the Mustangs' first six IT's WORTH. Both Michael Moriart , and Anne Steward have announced their intention to run as the board's • representative. All of the other positions in both townships have been filled by acclamation. In Goderich Township the following were ac- claimed, Grant Stirling, reeve; Jake Reeder, deputy reeve; and Pat Osb'orn,L.E. Cox and John Rodges, councillors.
