as a result of Dave Hodgins' 71 yard pass
play from quarterback Mark Marshall and
Marshall's . ensuing two point conversion
pass to Hodgins.
The third quarter was scoreless, but the
Vikings' consistent effort finally paid off
with the two final quarter majors by
Feagan. Feagan was a real workhorse for
the Vikingsscarrying the ball 32 times for
a total of 171 yards gained. His job was
made easier by the fine play of the Vikings
offensive line. Centre Greg Marshall and
guards Dave Weaver and Dave McDonald
had particularly strong games.
Defensively, the Vikings held Stratford
to 48 yards on the ground and 132 yards in,
the air, 71 yards of which came on their
one touchdown pass.
Coaches Ray Donnelly and Chris Connor
were both pleased with the strong play of
the Vikings and saw it as a great cora.-
back from last week's loss to Norwell.
The Vikings travel to Listowel Thursday
for a game with the L.D.S.S. Lords. The
next home game for the Vikings is next
Thursday, October 14, when the Stratford

Hunters
cautioned
Each year, police and
volunteers spend hundreds
of man-hours searching for
lost hunters and some of the
searches end in tragedy.
The OPP cautions even the
most experienced woodsmen
to keep a healthy respect for.
the remoteness of the pro-
vince's hunting areas and
realize the problems that
can crop up in isolated bush
areas.
The final thing to do before
you take that trip is to make -
sure someone.knows exactly
where you are going. It's like
filing a flight plan -, tell a
partner where you will be
and stay there.
A survival kit, is another
necessity. When you are in
— -the bush, every member of a
hunting party should have a
container in his pocket with
some items that will help
him to survive. Most impor-
tant is a Mirror, but the kit
should also have fish hooks
and line, matches, some
light high-energy foods such
as solid chocolate bars and
foil for cooking.
St. Pat's reached the finals by defeating
Grey Highlands 65-17 and London Clarke
Road 65-22. Lucas got by the host GDCI
Vikings 41-39 and Westminster 39-16: ^f
