The bride is the daughter of Gordon and Barbara Chapman of Goderich and the groom is the son of Gordon and Yvonne Dougherty of R.R. 3 Goderich. The Reverend G.L. Royal officiated at the double ring ceremony and music was provided by organist Bill Cameron. ' The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a long white wedding gown of French lace with a sweetheart neckline, long sheer sleeves, a long train and pearls. Her hat and veil matched her dress and" she carried a bouquet of silk pink roses, baby's breath and white prim roses. Matron of honor was Deborah Hakkers of Goderich, sister of the bride. She wore a long blue gown with blue flowered overskirt, spaghetti straps and mat- ching cape. She carried a bouquet of silk blue and pink daisies, pink orchids and baby's breath. Her head- piece matched her bouquet. Bridesmaids were Wanda Park, friend of the bride, Nancy Chapman, sister of the bride, Lisa Dougherty, sister of the groom and Michelle Park, friend of the bride. They were gowned the same as the matron of honor and carried the same bouquets. Groomsman was Gary Hakkers of Goderich, brother-in-law of the bride. Guests were ushered into the church by Tim Hodge, Tom Park and Mike Mon- tgomery, friends of the groom. The groom and his at- tendants wore blue tuxedos with blue silk 'daisy boutonnieres. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Saltford Valley Half which was decorated with pink and white streamers, wedding bells and a three - tiered wedding cake with flowers matching the bride's bouquet. The bride's mother greeted guests wearing a mauve and white flowered sleeveless gown which buttoned in front and a corsage of yellow roses. The groom's mother hurch Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dougherty assisted wearing a coral colored gown with pleated bodice, long sheer sleeves and a corsage of white daisies and silk baby's breath. For her wedding trip, the bride changed to a street - length white dress with floral print • and a corsage of silk - red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dougherty are residing at 183 Widder Street, Goderich. •Prior to her wedding, the bride was feted at a shower held by her sister Debbie Hakkers and her grand- mother Besse Baechler; at a shower held by Doris Hugill and Betty Harris, aunt of the --groom; and -at a shower held by Wanda Park and Michelle Park, friends of the bride. Couple wed at St. George's Church Red and white carnations decorated St: George's Anglican Church, Goderich on Saturday, August 28 at 3 p.m. for the wedding of Shirley- Aim- McNall- of Brucefield • and Joseph (Randy). Brooker of Goderich. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNall of Brucefield and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mts. William Brooker • of Goderich. • The Reverend Robert Crocker officiated at the double -ring ceremony. . The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white floor length gown with a long train trimmed in , lace, long sleeves and high lace neckline. Her veil was short and held in place with a pearl headband and she carried a parasol trimmed in lace with daisies, roses • and blossoms in a dusty rose color on the handle. • Maid of honor was Sandra Wadel of Hensall. She wore a floor length dusty rose colored gown with a high. neckline of lace and a white -floppy hat with a bow at the y back. She carried a fan with daisies, roses and blossoms of'dusty rose color. Bridesmaids were Ann Laycox of Seaforth, sister of the groom, and Cathy England of Wingham, friend of the bride. They were gowned the same as the maid of honor and carried the same fans. Juniorbridesmaids were Patty Atkinson of Mayer- thorpe, Alberta, cousin of the bride; Dorothy Brooker of Goderich; sister of the groom; Cindy McNall of Brucefield, sister of the bride; and Charlotte Laycox of Seaforth, niece of the groom. They were gowned . the same. as ' the bther at- tendants, with two of them wearing the same' hats and the other two wearing halos of rosebuds and baby's breath. They all carried bouquets of roses, blossoms and daisies in a dusty rose color. Flower girl was Christy Laycox of Seaforth, niece of .the groom. For a wedding trip to Collingwood, the bride changed to a , lilac colored . short dress with a V neck and a corsage of white car- nations and baby's breath. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph. (Randy) Brooker are residing on Huron Road in Goderich. Prior to her wedding, the bride was feted at a shower given by junior bridesmaid Cindy McNall held at the bride's mother''s home in• Brucefield. Retired firmer dies at age 93 OBITUARIES ROY MAIZE Roy Maize of Huronview, Clinton diedin Huronview ori Wednesday, September -29 at the age of 93. He was born in Ashfield Township on September 15, 1889 to William Henry and Elizabeth Jane (Blake) Maize. He attended school in Ash- field Township and . later worked as a farmer, retiring in 1945. He lived in Ashfield until 1967 when he moved to Goderich. • He had lived in Huronview since 1971. He was a member of North Street United Church, Goderich. ' He married Margaret Hasty in Crewe. She predeceased. him in 1946. He was also predeceased by one brother, Albert Clayton Maize . and one sister, Mrs. William (Irene) Hasty. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Ila) Crozier of Goderich; one brother, William, T. Maize of Mississauga; two , grand- children; and five great- grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Saturday; October 2 at 2 p.m. The Reverend John D.M. Wood officiated. Interment was in Dungannon Cemetery.
