Seniors
hold
variety
program
A large audience attendee
the variety program at
MacKay Centre on Wednes-
day, September 22.
An amusing and entertain-
ing fashion show with Irene
Todd as commentator por-
trayed the humorous side of
ladies' fashions. The unusual
and original costumes were
modelled by ten members of
MacKay Centre for Seniors,
namely Bigg
in,
Bi in
Doris Wheeler, Jean .
Schram, Olive Kennedy,
Barbara McWhinney, Vi
Rutherford, Margaret Alton,
Irene Young, Kay Hodgkin-
son, and Phyllis McTaggart.
Appropriate background
music was played by Joan
Henwood at the piano.
Mark Stackhouse
delighted the audience with
several violin solos. He was
accompanied by his sister
Pat at the piano.
Grant Ellison's music was
much appreciated as he sang
and played the guitar ac-
companiment. His two solos,
"They Call the Wind
`Maria' " and "Follow Me"
were followed by two solos
sung by ,his granddaughter
Kim Langlois. Grant and
Kim then joined , their
beautiful voices in a duet as
they sang "Perhaps Love."
Joan Henwood played two
delightful piano solos. These
numbers, as well as her ac-
companiment for the com-
munity singing by the au-
dience, were much enjoyed.
Ted Lawson added to the
pleasure of the evening with
hismusic on the bagpipes.
The program was arrang-
ed
rranged by Jean Schram and For-
dyce Clark who acted as co-
chairmen. Jean Schram
gave three readings and both
conveners entertained with
humorous stories.
At the first of the program,
Ken Wilson, chairman of the
Goderich Scout Conunittee,
appealed to the audience for
assistance in the Scout, Cub
and. Beaver programs by
volunteering to work with
the leaders.

Kalbfleisch made several
announcements.
