Repercussion at Blyth
Whether it's a symphony
orchestra, jars band or a
rock BR'ouP, the percussion
section generally gets
relegated to the back part of
the stage playing a suppor-
ting role to the featured per-
formers. The four members
of .Repercussion are out to
prove that their percussion
instruments belong front and
centre on the stage when
they visit Blyth Memorial
Hall Sunday, October 17 at 2
p.m.
While most people think
drums when they think "per-
cussion Repercussion pro-
ves the infinite variety of
music that can be played on
the instruments. They fill
the stage with xylophones,
gongs, (buns and bongos
and play everything from
Bach's Fugue in ( minor to
Bartok's String Quartet No.
4 - to ancient African
rhythmns and modern jazz
and contemporary music.

event on the Blyth Centre for
the Artsdi jsic series.
