United B team beats Ingersoll 5-1
BY FRED SCHOEMAKER
Rain. Rain. Rain. It just didn't stop
raining Sunday but the United B soccer
team came out with a 5-1 victory over
Ingersoll during a home game.
Mike (Woody) Wedlock scored the first,
second and third goals for the Bs, giving
him a hat -trick.
In the first half, the play went into the
left corner. Randy Stoddart put a small
pass to Woody who drove it to the top left
corner of the net. Ingersoll tied the game
at 1-1 with a goal by Andrus Giles which
ended the half.
In the second half, Woody picked one out
of the air to put it by the goalie for his
second of the game. His third came with an
assist from Eric ( The Stanger) Mitchell.
The Stinger then scored the fourth goal
with a blistering drive -that bundled the
goalie into the net after the ball hit him and
then went into the top corner.
The fifth goal was scored from top
gunner Randy Stoddard after a scramble
in front of the net.
The Bs' record now stands at eight wins,
three losses and three ties for 19 points.

Quiet in the • Land was
specifically commissioned

an Amish community at the
time of the first World War.
War threatens the country

destroy the separateness and
pacifism that has preserved
the Amish. throughout 400
years of faith. While com-
pelling . and thought
provoking, Quiet in the Land
is also a humorous and
colorful play.
