First prize went to Ken Hall, with Guy Kelly coming in second and Bill ' Duncan, third. It was beautiful weather and some fine scores were recorded. Winners were as follows: first flight - Della Bedard, low gross; Gerry Mountford, low net; Doris Paquette, put- ting prize; second flight Ar- dith Brissette, low gross; Janet Gemmill, low net; Grace Neville, second low net; Bess Smith, putting prize; third flight - Joan McDougall, low gross; Jean Bell, low net; Jean Hanly, second low net; Dorothy Worgan, putting prize; and fourth flight -,,Lynn Edward, low gross; Joyce Shack, low net; Auleen Curry, second low net and Norah More, put- ting prize. On Friday, August 20, 26 people turned out for the mixed couples two -ball. Dave Wflkinson and Lois McGill came in with the best score. Other winners were: Cewan Egener and " Pat Wilkinson, Steve Durst and Jean Hanly, Al MacDonald and ItWilyn: Cornish; Ed Brissette and Chris Hoff- meyer and Fred Looker and lrla Stewart. Four ladies attended the interclub at Kincardine on Tuesday, August 17, Vern. Frith, with only 31 putts, won the best putting prize. Edna Looker also won a putting prize. Congratulations girls. Pond life to be studied A glimpse at life in a pond will be captured at the Falls Reserve Conservation Area this upcoming weekend, August 28 and 29. Day -users as well as campers are in- vited to participate in the activities planned. An early morning hike along the beautiful Maitland River will be the perfect way to start your weekend! Join in at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday. At dusk on Saturday don't miss- having a 'splashing' good time at- themoonlight movies. On Sunday at 11 a.m. you'll be given the chance to use that fantastic imagination of yours and create creatures of the pond. The clay and equipment necessary will be supplied so don't miss the fun1 _At 1:30 p.m. that same day, join in for a closer look at life below the surface of a pond.
