Rural planning will be topic at meeting
The Huron County Federa-
tion of Agriculture, Regional
Meeting will be held on
September 2 at 8:30 p.m. at
the Clinton High School
Dr. Mark Lapping, Direc-
tor of the School of Rural
Planning at the University of
Guelph will be the ,guest
speaker. He will speak on the
Importance of Rural Plann-
ing in Huron County, the pur-
pose of the School of Rural
Planning, and how farmers
can make .use of their ser-
vice. The School of • Rural
Planning assisted in analyz-
ing the foreign ownership
study done by the Rural
Development Outreach Pro-
gram. The results of the
study were presented to the
Minister of Agriculture, Mr.
Dennis Timbrell, in May,
1982, by the Concerned
1 Farmers for Ontario
Farmland_
Regional Directors will be
elected at this meeting.
