Goderich' native, Ron
Feagan, one of the top
drivers in Canadian racing
history. In 1965 Ron became
the first Canadian driver to
obtain 200 wins in a single
year. His career totals
numbered over 3000 wins and'
over $6,000,000 m purse
money won. -
Among the horses he
handled were Armbro
Dancer, Armbro Taurus and
H.A. Meadowlands, who he
owned in partnership with
his grandfather, George.
Purchased for $1300, H.A.
Meadowlands paced to a
1:58.25 mark and over
$137,000 in earnings.
Raceway officials would
like to thank, Bainton's Old

driving gloves to the winner
of each race.
