The Goderich Signal-Star, 1982-08-04, Page 17A swim meet was held at Judith Gooderham Park in Goderich Saturday with the Goderich team -placing first with 272 points. St. Marys was second with 249 points; Kirkton was third with 190 points; Exeter was third with 162 points; and New hamburg was last with 161 points. This was the Goderich team's fourth swim meet of the season. They placed first in the Exeter meet, second in the New Hamburg meet and third in the Harriston meet. This Saturday they will compete in the semi-finals in Kincardine. Karyn Drennan, swim meet coach, would like to thank all the parents and staff who helped with Saturday's meet. Sorry....Ciuuld it be because ladies' night was rained out . last Tuesday? Maybe this week.... a little more ef- fort.... higher con- centration...:a little bit of luck:... Men's night on Monday, July 26 was sunny and warm as 49 players turned out. The big winner was Dave Cornish with a • par " round. Congratulations Dave. Tying for second place were Don Stewart and Don Sunset Club MacEwan. Bill McKellar came in third. Closest to the pin on number one was Tony Bedard. Don Edward was closest to the pin on number five. Draw winner was Bill Ross. Other winners were Ed Jessop, Bill Duncan, Ebb Ross, Allan MacDonald, Jack Gould, Gord Harrison, Ed Brissette, Fred Looker, Bill Hanly, Dick Worgan and Tony Bedard. • On.
