Reeve Bill Bogie ,opened the service by welcoming all and_ introducing those participating. The Reverend Robert Bisset read the scripture from liebrews;---Chapter 11 - and 12 and in his very in- teresting and comforting message,:he likened life and the hereafter to a journey which God, through Jesus Christ, has prepared the way. The McMillan family of Goderich provided music for the service. After the service, many paused to renew acquain- tances and to quietly remember. There was a splendid attendance with people from Colborne Township, Goderich, Clinton and surrounding district and several from a further distance. Social News Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore have returned home from a trip west where they visited with their son Steven and his wife in Calgary and also with their son Andy in Calgary. Before returning 'home, they did some sight seeing in Banff in particular. Mrs. Ethel Green and her son Peter Green and his wife of Sarnia attended the funeral of Mrs. Tait (Jean) Clark on Saturday. Mrs. Phyllis Diana MacNeish of Boston, Mass., attended the funeral of her cousin', Mrs. Tait (Jean) Clark on Saturday and also attended the. Colborne Cemetery Memorial Service. Mr. and Mrs. James,Clark of Drayton Valley, Alberta attended the funeral of Mr. Clark's mother, Mrs. Tait (Jean) Clark on Saturday and renewed aNuaintances at the Colborne Cemetery Memorial Service and will be visiting relatives and friends for a few more days before returning home. Joe Moore of Saltford is at present a patient in Victoria Hospital, London having had the misfortune to fracture his hip. His many friends wish him better health. Sincere sympathy to the family of the late Mrs. Tait (Jean) Clark whose funeral was Saturday, July 31. She was well-known and will be missed by many. She was very active in the Women's Institute and the Historical Society, for many years. It was in April of 1948 that Tiger Dunlop Women's Institute was founded due to the untiring efforts of Mrs. Clark who became its first president.
