Zoners beat Units 20-17
The Huron County Planning
Department Zoners.
established that' they are a .
team tqbe contended with as
they put on a stunning
performance in defeating
their archrivals, the Huron
County Health Unit 20-17.
What was to be just a fun
game soon turned into a
fierce battle as the Giant
Kilier Zoners established
themselves as a team worth
their weight in gold.
The Health Unit could not
UMW
match up against the Zoners'
quickness on the base path
and time and time again they
were shot down by.. rifle arm
. Mac on third base. The Unita
were only able to grab a hold
of the' lead for a fleeting
moment as they went ahead
11-10 in the bottom of the
seventh.
•
But the Zoners' regained
their • pOise and blew the
game wide open with 10 runs •
in the eight and -ninth in-
nings. The Units put on a
valiant effort in the bottom
of the ninth, but it was only a
Matter of time before the
Zoners' put out their fire.
The 'Zonerls' are noW
seeking bigger and better
competition and rumour has
it that Maitland Valley
Conservation Authority are
• inquiring if they could be
blessed with the opportunity
to be on the same field as the
'mighty Zoners'.
