Church news
On Sunday morning, at the
Holmesville United Church
Rev. Bechtel read the letter
thanking the Youth
Fellowship Group for the
money they raised at the
starve-a-thon held in the
spring. The money has
helped the Lewis family of
Kenya in efforts to givemore
money to the people of their
mission.
-The- -mibistei told the -
children about the lesson
that Bobby learned when his
teacher asked him to pull
some trees. The first and
second came up easily, the
third was bigger and more
difficult to ' pull and the
fourth was impossible. Trees
are like habits, Mr. Bechtel
explained, always form good
habits.
Mrs. Elaine Bechtel sang a
solo and the sermon was
entitled Looking for God's
Wisdom.
Stewart Farquhar and
Irvin • Tebbutt received the
offering.
